Climate, Water and Living Patterns
The climate of a particular region has a direct impact on the people who live there. Climate, Water and Living Patterns discusses the difference between weather and climate and identifies the six major climate regions: dry, tropical, temperate, continental, polar, and highland. The program introduces viewers to the five factors that affect climate: altitude, latitude, Earth surface features, large bodies of water, and wind patterns. Since water is necessary for human survival, the video also addresses the water cycle and how water is essential to agriculture, transportation, power generation, and other human activities.
